Jason W. Covington

Jason was born in Brownsville, Tennessee in 1979 and attended Haywood High School until he joined the Navy in 1997. He served aboard the USS McFaul DDG-74 from March of 1998 until November of 2001. While aboard the McFaul, Jason served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He earned many awards, ship wide and personal. Among these awards, he received several personal awards. These awards included: the Navy Accommodation Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal x2, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. After serving on the McFaul, Jason transferred to the Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek in Norfolk, Virginia. While there, he worked as Naval Security Forces for the NAB Little Creek Police Department. During his tour of duty at Little Creek, he began tattooing. Jason’s roommate was his canvas through the good and bad. After about three years of tattooing, he moved to London England and tattooed there for almost a year. Then he moved to Sicily, where he tattooed for a little over three years. After Sicily, he moved to his current home in sunny Key West, Florida. Jason is the owner of Southernmost Tattoo
